Knit in incredibly bulky and deliciously soft Malabrigo Rasta and shown crowd-fav colorway "Arco Iris", you'll have a warm cozy shawl knit up in no time. The pattern includes links to tutorials so you can feel confident tackling unfamiliar techniques. I can’t even describe how soft and cozy this shawl is... it’s utter heaven. I find it weirdly the perfect weight...blankety without being suffocatingly hot, and with a calming weight (it weighs over a POUND!!!).

This design is really all about celebrating "the journey is the destination". While in the Baja, Mexico, I spotted the name “Miraflores” on the map, and so wanted to visit a town that I thought translated as “See the flowers”. I dropped stitches swatching at every bump down the desert roads. We arrived in a cozy Mexican town with very, very few flowers, but the drive home was full of laughter, and beautiful vistas. I loved the broken “mistake” motif, and knit up the shawl on the beach.
